Me - Mackenzie

Hi, I’m Mackenzie. Since I was a young girl, I’ve always wondered ‘Am I overweight?’ Now, don’t get me wrong – I’ve never been fat, but I’ve never really exercised or followed a healthy diet either. I guess I’m probably like you and most average Americans – just not really concerned about my weight.

As I got older, I started to notice areas that were getting a little bit out of control, making me feel self-conscious. You know, thighs, hips, butt – that little hanging skin thingy on the backside of my arms.

That’s when I started looking into what the experts say I should weigh for my height. I was 5’-4” and about 151 lbs, which was considered overweight. I went to see my doctor who also agreed that I was slightly overweight, but even more alarming noted that my blood pressure and cholesterol were high.

So, after 50 years of a sedentary lifestyle, it was time for me to start exercising and eating a healthier diet. Oh, how I dreaded it!

That’s until I found these secrets to eating the right foods and doing the right exercises to burn the most fat and jump start my fitness.

Now, I’m down to 138 lbs, which is still a little high, but at least in the healthy category. I’m exercising regularly, but not a lot, and applying smart principles to my eating habits. I feel great and look terrific  - if I do say so myself!

    Great article with lots of useful info. My fitness program comprises mainly of high intense interval training. I find that I am most productive I exercise in the morning.
